The Tricks of the Trade weblog has a brilliant method for cleaning the inner glass of a schmutzy fish aquarium:

A strong magnet inside of a rag or sponge placed on the inside of the tank can be guided around with another strong magnet from the outside.

I imagine getting the inner magnet to stay inside the rag or sponge must be difficult, but I’d love to try this myself. I don’t have fish anymore (RIP Joralemon Cunningham, my late fishy friend) but if any readers do and give this a try, let us know how it goes – tips at lifehacker.com.

Great tip on Lifehacker. Cleaning your fish tank with 2 magnets. 1 on the inside of the tank and the other one on the outside. Just makek sure there is some sort of a sponge between the magnet on the inside and the tank.

We don’t want to scratch our tank, now do we?
